Impediment Game at Lean Kanban France 2017

November 29, 2017 - November 30, 2017

I will be playing the impediment game at Lean Kanban France 2017. Also doing a full day workshop on November 28: Getting More out of Agile and Lean.

If you want to become agile and lean, teams need to be able to handle impediments quickly and effectively. The Impediments Game teaches you to recognize and analyze impediment and to take appropriate action by deploying agile and lean good practices.

Impediment Game

In this game, you will become a team which has been working together for a couple of iterations. The game can be played by 1-4 teams simultaneously. Each team will have Scrum master and a Product Owner.

The game consists of a deck of impediment cards, a list of agile and lean good practices, and an impediment board. This game has Lean/Kanban cards and supports Lean/Kanban thinking to solve problems.

During the game, the teams will be coached in understanding impediments and selecting and deploying good practices to take action.

Benefits for attendees :

  • recognize impediments and understand how they can hinder the team
  • deploy agile and lean practices to deal with them
  • learn how to become more effective in dealing with impediments
